Academic
Dr David Kieser’s father, Jules Kieser, was a much-loved teacher and academic in the University of Otago. He instilled a love of science with a drive to improve healthcare through research in his students. His great devotion to the sciences remains recognized through the Jules Kieser Memorial Trust which supports research in the University of Otago. David has tried to emulate his father’s enthusiasm for medical research:
“I believe that medical research underpins all great advances in medical care and ensures that our current treatment modalities are optimal for our patients”. Medical research cannot be performed in isolation. David Kieser is enormously honoured and humbled by the continued collaboration of colleagues and students, the kind donations from individuals, trusts and industries, as well as the generosity and willingness of patients to be involved in medical research. Details of David's prolific research activities will be available to viewers of the website soon. |
